AWARDING CONTRACT TO GEORGE JARDIN FOR REPAIR OF
PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK AND DRIVEWAY FOR
FISCAL YEAR 1982-1983 AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Repair of Portland Cement
Concrete Sidewalk and Driveway for the fiscal year ending June 30,
1982 in accordance with Specifications and Plans No. PW 5-82-8,
approved on June 15, 1982; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was sub-
mitted by George Jardin agreeing to repair portland cement concrete
sidewalk and driveway in accordance with said Specifications at
$4.25 per square foot;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said firm is a resaponsible bidder and that the
proposal submitted by said bidder is the lowest and best bid
received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of George Jardin be
accepted, the contract for repair of portland cement concrete
sidewalk and driveway for the fiscal year 1982-1983 be awarded to
said bidder and that the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to
execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of
the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th of July, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Stone, and President Corica - 4.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Sherratt - 1.
