ACCEPTING PROPOSAL AS AGREEMENT (BRINK'S, INCORPORATED
EXTENDING CONTRACT FOR COIN COLLECTION OF PARKING METERS
TO JUNE 30, 1983
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Coin Collection of On and
Off Street Parking Meters for the fiscal year ending June 30,
1983, in accordance with Specifications MSP 5-82-1, approved on
June 1, 1982; and
WHEREAS, no bids were received at the bid opening on
July 6, 1982; and
WHEREAS, Brink's, Incorporated, said firm having the
contract which expired on June 30, 1982, subsequently submitted a
proposal offering to extend the 1981-82 contract for another year
at the same price;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the Proposal of Brinks, Incorporated with its
letter of July 1, 1982, a copy of which is attached, in which said
firm agrees to Coin Collection of On and Off Street Parking Meters
in the City of Alameda for the sum of 38.5 cents each, and which
extends the current contract to June 30, 1983, is hereby accepted.
,) BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said proposal and this acceptance
shall constitute the contract of the parties hereto.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th of July, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Stone, and President Corica - 4.
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Sherratt - 1.
