AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACTION
GRANT APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF THE ALAMEDA MARINA
VILLAGE ASSOCIATES PROPOSAL
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has been designated as eligible
to apply for U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development,
Urban Development Action Grant Funds; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Alameda Marina Village Associates
proposal meets the criteria for the utilization of Urban Development
Action Grant funds and is viewed by the City as important in providing
needed stimulation both of jobs and economic development with the
City, along with affording an improved tax base for the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager be authorized and directed to (1)
file the UDAG application in conjunction with the Alameda Marina
Village Associates proposal; (2) make such assurances and certifica-
tions as are required on behalf of the City; (3) negotiate such
contracts and agreements as are required with the HUD and/or Alameda
Marina Village Associates proposal sponsors and (4) supply such
other information and materials as may be required.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution'
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on 20th of July, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Stone and President Corica - 4.
NOES: None,
ABSENT: Councilman Sherratt 1.
