Resolution 09847CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9847 STATING AND REQUESTING CONSOLIDATION OF A SPECIAL ELECTION IN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 2, 1982, WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA GENERAL ELECTION TO BE HELD TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 1982 (MEASURE I) BE IT RESOLVED BY TFIE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 4, Part 2, Division 12, of the Elections Code of California, and of Section 23302 thereof, a Special Election for the purpose of submitting to the qualified voters of the City a proposed ordinance as set forth in the state- ment of the question below, be consolidated with the State of California General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 2, 1982. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the election precincts, polling places, voting booths, and election officers who shall conduct said Special Election are hereby designated to be the same as the election precincts, polling places, voting booths, and election officers as shall be designated, established and appointed by resolution or ordinance of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda for the purpose of holding and conducting said General Election within the territory affected by this order of consolidation, and that said election shall be held in all respects as if there were only one election. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of said County of Alameda is hereby authorized and empowered to canvass the returns of said Special Election and certify the results thereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda, be and it is hereby reauested to make its order and to take such other and further proceedings as may be necessary to effect the consolidation of said Special Election with said State of California General Election, all in accordance with the laws of the State of California regulating and providing for the consoli- dation of elections. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that he exact for of the measure to be voted on at said Special Election, and as the same is to appear on the ballot, is as follows; MEASURE I - Proposed Ordinance Shall an ordinance be adopted requiring a referendum for the development of government subsidized rental housing units : YES for a period of five years, except that development of units for senior citizens and the handicapped shall be exempt from said : NO ordinance? BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the measure hereinabove referred . to shall be designated on the ballot as "Proposed Ordinance of the City of Alameda.
