Resolution 09848CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9848 ESTABLISHING POLICY ON NOMINATION OF FUTURE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE SENIOR CENTER NONPROFIT CORPORATION AND DEFINING THE ROLE OF THE EX-OFFICIO MEMBER WHEREAS, at its regular meeting of March 2. 1982 this Council authorized the establishment of a nonprofit corporation to raise funds for special programs and projects to supplement City support of the Mastick Senior Center, with officers of the Mastick Senior Center Advisory Board in a participatory capacity; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish a policy on nomination of future members of the Board of Directors of said nonprofit corporation and to define the role of the ex- officio member; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the following policy is hereby established for the nomination of future members of the Board of Directors of Alameda Senior Citizens, Incorporated, a nonprofit corporation, by the City Council: 1. Two members shall be selected for nomination from the general public; 2. Two members shall be selected for nomination by the Senior Center Advisory Board; and 3. One member shall be selected for nomination by the Recreation Commission. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President of the Senior Center Advisory Board shall sit as an ex-officio, non-voting, member of the Senior Center nonprofit corporation. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd of August, 1982, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Stone and President Corica - 4.
