AWARDING CONTRACT TO JOE FOSTER EXCAVATING, INC. FOR
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 81-1 ON-SITE GRADING PROJECT
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Assessment District 81-1
On-Site Grading Project in accordance with Specifications and
Plans No. P.W. 7-82-10, approved on July 20, 1982; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was sub-
mitted by Joe Foster Excavating, Inc., agreeing to perform said
work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$177,800.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said firm is a responsible bidder and that the
proposal submitted by said bidder is the lowest and best bid
received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Joe Foster Exca-
vating, Inc. be accepted, the contract for Assessment District
a\ 81-1 On-site Grading Project be awarded to said bidder and that
the Mayor be and hereby is authorized to execute, and the City
Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th of August, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
