AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF FORTY-FIVE DAYS FOR COMPLETION
OF CONTRACT WORK FOR THE FERNSIDE BOULEVARD EXTENSION
WHEREAS, Gallagher & Burk, Inc., contractor for the con-
struction of the Fernside Boulevard Extension has requested a
45 day extension of time in which to complete the project; and
WHEREAS, the contractor may be justified in its request
due to some inadequate design work, unforeseen problems in the
subgrade and in weather conditions; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has established a good faith
agreement that the Fernside Boulevard Extension will be open
to traffic by September 15, 1982;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the October 26, 1982 completion date for the
Fernside Boulevard extension project be and hereby is extended
for forty-five (45) days.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th of August, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
