AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OP AGREEMENT WITH EAST BAY
MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT FOR COLLECTION OF SEWER
SERVICE CHARGES FOR COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL
ACCOUNTS
WHEREAS, by its Ordinance No. 2084 N.S. the City of Alameda
established sewer service charbes for the use of sewer facilities
owned and operated by the City; and
WHEREAS, to facilitate the billing and collection of such
charges for commercial and industrial accounts the City has re-
quested the East Bay Municipal Utility District to bill and
collect the City's charges for such sewer service; and
WHEREAS, said District is willing to perform such billing
and collection; and
WHEREAS, a proposed Sewer Service Charge Billing and
Collection Agreement has been submitted to this Council and the
Council is fully informed and aware of the terms and conditions
thereof; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Alameda
that said agreement be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda, that certain
agreement referred to above by and between the City of Alameda
and the East Bay Municipal Utility District relating to billing
and collecting the City's charges for sewer services for commercial
and industrial accounts. The City Clerk is hereby directed to
attest to same.
