AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE BETWEEN CITY OF ALAMEDA
AND RICHARD J. FELKER AND TECKLA C. FELKER FOR SUBLEASE
OF ROOM A-18 AT THE MASTICK SENIOR CENTER COMPLEX AS
STUDIO SPACE FOR PAINTING, PHOTOGRAPHIC ART AND ART
ILLUSTRATIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda leases from the Alameda Unified
School District certain real property located within the City
and known as the Mastick Senior Center Complex; and
WHEREAS, Richard J. Felker and Teckla C. Felker desire
to sublease from the City Room A-18 of said Complex as Studio
Space to pursue their hobbies of painting, photographic art and
art illustrations, which use is consistent with City policies;
and
WHEREAS, the Alameda Unfied School District has consented
to said sublease; and
WHEREAS, a form of agreement containing the covenants,
terms and conditions to be entered into is on file in the office
of the City Clerk and the Council is informed of the contents
thereof; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that said Agreement
be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the agreement referred to above, and the terms,
conditions and covenants contained therein be, and the same are
hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he
is hereby authorized to execute, for and on behalf of the City
of Alameda, that certain proposed Agreement with Richard J. Felker
and Teckla C. Felker for the sublease of Room A-18 at the Mastick
Senior Center Complex, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to attest to same.
