AWARDING CONTRACT TO GALLAGHER & BURK, INC. FOR
REPAIR AND RESURFACING OF FERNSIDE BOULEVARD AND HIGH
STREET AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the repair and resurfacing
of Fernside Boulevard, Encinal Avenue to High Street, and High
Street, from Otis Drive to Calhoun Street, in accordance with
Specifications No. 9-82-17, approved October 5, 1982; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Gallagher & Burk, Inc. agreeing to perform said
work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$87,987.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that said firm is a responsible bidder and that
its proposal is the lowest and best bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Gallagher & Burk,
Inc. be accepted, the contract for the repair and resurfacing
of Fernside Boulevard, Encinal Avenue to High Street, and High
Street, Otis Drive to Calhoun Street, be awarded to said bidder,
and that the Mayer be authorized to execute, and the City Clerk
to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
