AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH MORTON
TECHNOLOGIES FOR PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
STRUCTURAL REHABILITATION OF ALAMEDA CITY HALL
WHEREAS, a structural study of Alameda City Hall, funded
by a grant from the National Trust for Historical Preservation,
has been completed by Morton Technologies; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this building can
be brought up to State Historical Buildinci Code standards; and
WHEREAS, in order to be prepared in case a funding source
becomes available, it is in the best interests of the City to
engage the services of a structural engineer to provide working
drawings, specifications and estimates for the proposed structural
rehabilitation work and
WHEREAS, Morton Technologies has submitted its proposal
for $14,500 to prepare the plans and specifications for this
work;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda,
a contract with Morton Technologies to prepare plans, specifica-
tions and engineer's estimate for the proposed structural rehabili-
tation of Alameda City Hall. The City Clerk is hereby directed
to attest same.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd day of November, 1982, by the
following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone, and President Corica - 5,,
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
