CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 9928
REQUESTING CANCELLATION OF TAXES ON REAL PROPERTY
ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL
PURPOSES (FOX PROPERTY - FERNSIDE BOULEVARD EXTENSION)
WHEREAS, certain real property situate in the City of
Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, and more
particularly described under account number A.P.#69-28-110,
has been assessed and taxes levied are uncollected and unpaid;
and
WHEREAS, said real property was, by Grant Deed recorded
in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County on Septem-
ber 30, 1982, Deed No 82-148622, acquired and now is owned
by the City of Alameda, and has been and now is being used for
public purposes and because of such public ownership is not
subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Alameda be, and it is hereby, requested to make its order;
and to take such further proceedings as may be necessary, to
cause all uncollected taxes, assessments, penalties or costs
charged or levied for tax purposes upon the aforesaid parcel
of real property, to be cancelled; and that a record of such
cancellation be made by the officer or officers having custody
of the record thereof, in accordance with the provisions of
Section 4986 of the Revenue and Taxation Code of the State of
California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk forward two
(2) certified copies of this Resolution to the Board of Super--
visors of the County of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly.and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 16th of November, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Gorman, Sherratt,.:,Stone and President Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: ouncilman Diament.- 1.
