AWARDING CONTRACT TO DAWSON CONSTRUCTION FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE BIKE PATH UNDER THE NORTH END
OF THE BAY FARM ISLAND BRIDGE AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the construction of a bicycle
path under the north end of the Bay Farm Island Bridge, in
accordance with Specifications No. P.W. 4-82-2, approved Novem-
ber 2, 1982; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Dawson Construction agreeing to perform said work
in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of $37,080.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said firm is a responsible bidder and that its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Dawson Construction
be accepted, the contract for the construction of the bike path
under the north end of the Bay Farm Island Bridge be awarded to
said bidder, and that the Mayor be authorized to execute, and
the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City
of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7th of December, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament° Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.•
