AWARDING CONTRACT TO STEINY & COMPANY FOR MODIFICATION
TO TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT WEBSTER STREET AND ATLANTIC
AVENUE AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the modification of traffic
signals at Webster Street and Atlantic Avenue, in accordance with
Specifications No. 12-81-11, approved November 2, 1982; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Steiny & Company agree ng to perform said work in
accordance with said Specifications for the sum. of $27,346.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that said firm is a responsible bidder and that
its proposal is the lowest and best bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Steiny & Company
be accepted, the contract for the modification to traffic signals
at Webster Street and Atlantic Avenue be awarded to said bidder,
and that the Mayor be authorized to execute, and the City Clerk
to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of December, 1982,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Di3ment, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None..
