AUTHORIZING RENEWAL OF EXISTING LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE
CONTRACT WITH CAC-WIN & DORWARD, LANDSCAPE ENGINEERING
CONTRACTORS, AND APPROVING INCREASE IN CONTRACT COSTS
WHEREAS, on November 24, 1981, the City entered into an
agreement with Cagwin & Dorward, Landscape and Engineering Con-
tractors, to provide landscape maintenance of various areas
in the City for one year; and
WHEREAS, the quality of work by said Contractor has been
acceptable to the City and the community; and
WHEREAS, Contractor has agreed to the renewal of the exist-
ing contract for one year at a contract price of $66,293; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Alameda
that said contract be renewed for one year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor and City Clerk he and each hereby is,
authorized to execute and to attest to respectively, on behalf
of the City, a one-year renewal of that certain agreement between
the City and Cagwin & Dorward, P.W. 9-81-9, for landscape main-
tenance services, and that the contract price increase to $66,293
be and hereby is approved.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular .meeting assembled on the 4th of January, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, and Stone - 4.
NOES: President Corica - 1.
ABSENT: None,
