ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE REPAIR AND
RESURFACING OF CERTAIN STREETS, PHASE 2, CALLING FOR
BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME
WHEREAS, specifications and plans have been prepared
for the repair and resurfacing of Central Avenue, Fourth Street
to Pacific Avenue; Central Avenue, Park Street to Grand Street;
Everett Street, Blanding Avenue to North End; Park Street, Lincoln
Avenue to Park Street Bridge; Webster Street, Central Avenue
to South End; Whitehall Place, Whitehall Road to Willow Street;
Second Street, North of Pacific Avenue; and Add Alternate No 1,
Clubhouse Memorial Road, East of Island Drive, numbered
P.W. 1 -83 -3 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on eebru-
ary 1, 1983.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Specifications be, and the same are,
hereby approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Alameda will receive sealed bids up to the hour of 2:00 o'clock
p.m, on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 1983, for furnishing to the City
of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary
for the work her.einabove referred to, in accordance with said
Specifications and Plans. Bids must be presented to the City
Clerk in the City Hall, .Alameda, California, under sealed cover
and plainly marked on the outside, ''Proposal for Repair and
Resurfacing of Certain Streets, Phase 2," or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the
provisions of the Charter of the City of Alameda,; to the
responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The
right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the Director of Public Works, at his office
in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the
Alameda Times -Star, a notice calling for scaled bids, in
accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said
specifications and plans,
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
Has duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 1st Of February, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: C0UDcil02Nbers Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
