COMMENDING CHARLES G. RHOADES, MAINTENANCE
SERVICES PLUMBER, FOR 31 YEARS OF FAITHFUL
SERVICE TO THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
WHEREAS, Charles G. Rhoades, was first employed by the City of
Alameda as a Laborer on October 16, 1951; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Rhoades has worked his way up through the ranks by
being promoted to Plumber's Helper on May 16, 1953; to Public Works
Maintenance Man on September 16, 1970; as Assistant Plumber on February 1,
1974; and as Maintenance Plumber on July 1, 1976; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Rhoades has devoted 31+ years of constant and
faithful performance of his duties to the City of Alameda.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Alameda commends and acknowledges with esteem the years of service
rendered by this faithful employee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda
extend their congratulations and best wishes for good health and
happiness in the years to come.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing ttesolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 15th of February, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
