AWARDING CONTRACT TO J. H. FITZMAURICE, INC. FOR THE
ALAMEDA/AEOLIAN YACHT CLUB SHORELINE DEVELOPMENT
PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the Alameda/Aeolian Yacht
Club Shoreline Development Project, in accordance with
Specifications No. PW 3-83-5, approved March 15, 1983; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by J. H. Fitzmaurice, Inc. agreeing to perform said
work in acordance with said Specifications for the sum of $98,319
plus the sum of $3,500 for Alternate No. 1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said firm is a responsible bidder and that its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the base bid and Alternate
No. 1 bid of J. H. Fitzmaurice, Inc. be accepted, the contract
for the Alameda/Aeolian Yacht Club Shoreline Development Project
be awarded to said bidder, and that the Mayor is hereby authorized
--,, to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf
of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular adjourned meeting assembled on the
26th day of April, 1983, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Diament, Gorman, Sherratt and President Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Stone.
