AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH OCCUPATIONAL
HEALTH SERVICES, INC. WITH REGARD TO PROVIDING AN
EMPLOYEES' ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda recognizes that some behavioral
or health problems may affect the conduct, job performance and
attendance of its employees; and
WHEREAS, such problems can often be successfully treated or
assisted, provided an appropriate source of care or help is
available; and
WHEREAS, Occupational Health Services, Inc. offers a volun
tary Employee Assistance Program which provides confidential
counseling services in many areas; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that an Employees'
Assistance Program would be of benefit to the City of Alameda
and to its employees;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager and the City Clerk be, and each
hereby is, authorized and directed to execute and to attest to,
respectively, on behalf of the City, an agreement for Employee
Assistance Program Services with Occupational Health Services,
Inc., said agreement to be substantially in the form of that on
file in the office of the City Clerk and marked, "Filed, May 3,
1983.
I, the undersigned, hereby-certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd of May, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Diament, Gorman, Sherratt, Stone and•President Corica e 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT:None.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the
