CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10041
COMMENDING RICHARD SHERRATT FOR HIS YEARS OF
SERVICE TO THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AS CITY COUNCILMEMBER
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA records with great
admiration and esteem the eight years of service faithfully
rendered by RICH SHERRATT as Councilmember of the City of
Alameda; and
WHEREAS, RICH SHERRATT was first elected to the City Council
on April 15, 1975, was re-elected on April 17, 1979, and served
as Vice-Mayor from 1981 through 1983; and
WHEREAS, in discharging the responsibilities of this office,
RICH SHERRATT accepted appointment as Alameda's representative to
the County Airport Land Use Commission to safeguard the
community's interests in these vital matters; and
WHEREAS, RICH SHERRATT has established a distinguished
record of accomplishment and service to the community, most
notably his concern, involvement and active support of programs
and activities for our young people; and
WHEREAS, RICH SHERRATT has earned the respect and admiration
of so many for his dedication and leadership in helping to solve
the many problems which have faced this Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City
of Alameda does hereby express to this outstanding individual its
genuine esteem and sincere gratitude for his unselfish
contribution of time, effort and experience for the benefit of
the community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of

Alameda, City Staff and his many friends throughout the community
convey to RICH SHERRATT their congratulations and best wishes for

was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
