Resolution 10042CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10042 COMMENDING AMEY STONE FOR HER SERVICES TO THE CITY OF ALAMEDA AS CITY COUNCILMEMBER THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA acknowledges with great pride and respect the record, accomplishments and the tenure of office of AMEY STONE, Councilmember of the City of Alameda, for the past four years; and WHEREAS, AMEY STONE was elected to the City Council on April 17, 1979 and served as the City's Vice-Mayor from 1979 until 1981; and WHEREAS, AMEY STONE has served with distinction as Alameda's representative on the ACTEB/ACAP Governing Board and as the alternate to the Solid Waste Management Board; and WHEREAS, she distinguished herself in her efforts towards making local government efficient and effective; and WHEREAS, AMEY STONE worked with great enthusiasm toward improving the quality of life for all, but most particularly, for our seniors. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda commends and congratulates AMEY STONE for the years of service rendered and her accomplishments and expresses appreciation for the devotion to duty in carrying out her responsibilities; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda, City Staff, and her many friends throughout the community extend to AMEY STONE their congratulations and best wishes for continued good health, success and much happiness. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th of May, 1983, by the following vote to wit: AYES: C0Uncilme0berS Gorman, Hanna, Lucas and President Diament - 4.
