AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES AND PROJECTED USE OF FUNDS TO
THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT AS THE PROGRAM FOR THE 1983-1984 USE OF
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS AND ADOPTING
RELATED REQUIREMENTS THERE
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is an entitlement City and
accordingly is eligible to receive federal funds as provided by
the Housing and Community Development Acts of 1974 and 1977;
and
WHEREAS, in 1982 the Congress enacted further amendments
defining eligible activities and use of funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has prepared a Statement
of Community Development Objectives and Project Use of Funds
pursuant to the new legislation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager be and hereby is authorized
to submit Objectives and Projected Use of Funds and Certifications
as adopted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Community Develop
ment as the Program for the 1983-1984 use of Community Development
Block Grant Funds.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th of May, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Monsef and President Diament - 4.
NOES: Councilmember Lucas - 1.
ABSENT: None.
