RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO VOLUNTEERS FOR THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
WHEREAS, citizens and friends of the City of Alameda have
donated countless hours of their time to the City through various
City departments; and
WHEREAS, the dedication of our volunteers and the many
valuable services that these people have performed have enriched
the City government's efforts to maintain the quality of life
desired by the City's residents; and
WHEREAS, the volunteer effort has continued to grow; and
WHEREAS, the entire community benefits from the enriched
level o the services provided by dedicated volunteers; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to acknowledge this volunteer
effort;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that it strongly supports the City of Alameda
Volunteer Program and looks forward to its continued growth and
the opportunity to utilize the talents of the many people who
contribute so generously.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council thanks and
commends the devoted volunteers and their outstanding efforts
over the past years.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th of May, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT:None.
