AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET NEGOTIATION FOR OIL SEAL
AND OIL TREATMENT OF CERTAIN STREETS, PHASE 2, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED
THEREFOR
WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 10018 adopted April 26,
1983, this Council adopted plans and specifications for the oil
seal and oil treatment of certain streets in the City of Alameda;
and
WHEREAS, no bids were received by the bid opening date of
May 19, 1983; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that negotiation on the
open market for said work would be in the best interests of the
\-1 City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the City Engineer be and hereby is authorized to
negotiate with a qualified contractor, on the open market, for the
oil seal and oil treatment of certain streets in the City of
Alameda, said work to be performed as described in the plans and
,.., specifications adopted therefor, No P.W. 3-83-4.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7th of June, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna,,Lucas, Monsef and
President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
