CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10059
AUTHORIZING THE CONVENING OF A JOINT PUBLIC
HEARING WITH THE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA TO CONSIDER
A PLAN AND REPORT THEREON FOR THE WEST END
COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AREA
Findings and Purpose:
1. The City Council of the City of Alameda has
been informed that an Improvement Plan and the Report
thereon for the proposed West End Community Improvement
Project Area have been prepared. Said Report includes the
Environmental Impact Report for the project.
2. The Community Improvement Commission Staff has
submitted copies of the Plan to this Council for its review.
3. There is a need for a joint public hearing with
the Community Improvement Commission to consider the Plan and
Report and to have interested groups and citizens be heard on
the Plan and Report.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Council approves the convening
of a special joint public hearing with the Community
Improvement Commission on June 28, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. in the
City Council Chambers, City Hall, 2263 Santa Clara Avenue,
Alameda, California, for purposes of considering the aforesaid
Plan and the Report thereon.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council hereby
ratifies, confirms and approves the actions of the City Clerk
in cooperating with the Improvement Commission to publish the
attached "Legal Notice - Joint Public Hearing" not less than
once a week for four successive weeks in one of the designated
newspapers of general circulation published in Alameda County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council hereby
ratifies, confirms and approves the actions of the City Clerk
in cooperating with the Community Improvement Commission of
the City of Alameda in mailing a copy of the aforesaid Legal
Notice together with the attached Notice to Property Owners
to the last known assessee of each parcel of land in the area
designated in the aforesaid Community Improvement Plan, at
his/her last known address as shown on the last equalized
assessment roll of Alameda County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council hereby
ratifies, confirms and approves the actions of the City
Clerk in cooperating with the Community Improvement
Commission of the City of Alameda in mailing a copy of the
"Legal Notice - Joint Public Hearing" to the governing body
of the Project Area designated in the proposed Community
Improvement Plan aforesaid.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7th of June, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna,,Lucas, Monsef and
President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
