CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 1006-i
AUTHORIZINC SUBMITTAL OF STATEMENT OF COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES AND PROJECTED USE OF SUPPLEMENTAL
FUNDS TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT AND ADOPTING RELATED REQUIREMENTS THEREOF
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is an entitlement City and
accordingly is eligible to receive federal funds as provided by
the Housing and Community Development Acts of 1974 and 1977; and
WHEREAS, in 1982 the Congress enacted further amendments
defining eligible activities and use of funds; and
WHEREAS, supplemental funds to create employment opportun-
ities are available to the City of Alameda as a result of the
Emergency Jobs Stimulus Bill; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has prepared a Statement of
Community Development Objectives and Project Use of Funds pursuant
to the new legislation,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager be and hereby is authorized to
submit Objectives and Projected Use of Funds and Certifications
as adopted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Community Develop-
ment for the use of Supplemental CDBG funds in fiscal year
1983-84.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in an Adjourned Regular Meeting assembled on June 10, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Monsef -and President Diament - 4
NOES: Councilmember Lucas — 1.
ABSENT: None.
