AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF MODIFICATION TO EMERGENCY
AMBULANCE-SERVICE PROGRAM AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
AND THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 10046 adopted May 17,
1983 this Council approved an agreement with the County of
Alameda for an emergency ambulance service program in the City
of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, The County Health Care Services Agency has
negotiated a modification to the Emergency Ambulance Service
Agreement which will result in significant savings to the County
and the City; and
WHEREAS, a Modification of Agreement Emergency Ambulance
EMS Zone III has been submitted to this Council and the Council
is informed and aware of the terms and conditions thereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda,
that certain Modification of Agreement Emergency Ambulance EMS
ZONE III between the City and the County of Alameda which
modifies the reimbursement rates for uncollectible emergency
calls, dry runs and standby services and modifies the allowable
charges for private billing applicable to emergency call services.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of June, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 1.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
