AWARDING CONTRACT TO VALLEY SLURRY SEAL COMPANY FOR
TEE HEATER-SCARIFICATION AND SLURRY SEAL TREATMENT
ON CERTAIN STREETS, PHASE 2, AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Slurry Seal Treatment on
Certain Streets, Phase 2, in accordance with Specifications No.
P.W. 12-82-19, approved May 17, 1983; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Valley Slurry Seal Company agreeing to perform said
work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$119,075.75.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said firm is a responsible bidder and that its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Valley Slurry Seal
Company be accepted, the contract for the Heater-Scarification
and Slurry Seal Treatment of certain streets, Phase 2, be awarded
to said bidder, and that the Mayor be authorized to execute,
and the City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the
City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of June, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Luzas, Monsef and President Diament 1.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
