APPROVING PUBLIC UTILITIES BOARD ACTION AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF INTERCONNECTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA POWER AGENCY AND PACIFIC GAS AND
ELECTRIC COMPANY
WHEREAS, the Bureau of Electricity of the City of Alameda
is a member of the Northern California Power Agency (NCPA) which
agency has undertaken the development of various power generating
resources; and
WHEREAS, at its meeting on June 20, 1983, the Public
Utilities Board of the City of Alameda adopted a resolution
approving and authorizing execution of the NCPA and Pacific
Gas and Electric Company (PG &E) Interconnection Agreement for
PG &E's services in transmitting NCPA power to its member cities;
and
WHEREAS, the Interconnection Agreement represents a power
supply contract of more than ten Years' duration, the Charter
requires approval of the Board's action by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby approves the action
taken by the Public Utilities Board approving and authorizing
the execution of the Interconnection. Agreement between NCPA
and PG &E for PG &E's services in transmitting NCPA power to its
member cities.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of June, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 1.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
