CERTIFYING FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT ON
THE PLAN FOR THE WEST END COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT AREA
WHEREAS, the Alameda Community Improvement Commission
of the City of Alameda has proposed a West End Community Improve-
ment Plan for the West End Community Improvement Project Area;
and
WHEREAS, in compliance with the State of California
Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended, there was
prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Report covering the
effects said project will have on the environment; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda Planning Board held public
hearings on said Draft Environmental Impact Report; and
WHEREAS, comments were received from the general public
and interested oraanizations and responses to said comments
were prepared; and
WHEREAS, at its regular meeting on June 13, 1983, the
Planning Board determined that the Draft Environmental Impact
Report together with said comments and the responses thereto
constitute a Final Environmental Impact Report under the
California Environmental Quality Act and has recommended
certification by the City Council of said Final Environmental
Impact Report;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby certifies that it has
reviewed and considered the information contained in the Final
Environmental Impact Report on the Plan for the West End Community
Improvement Project Area, comprised of the Draft Environmental

Impact Report together with Comments and Responses, and further
certifies that said Final Environmental Impact Report has been
completed in compliance with the California Environmental Quality
Act and State and City Guidelines.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular adjourned meeting assembled on the 28th of
June, 1983, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
