AWARDING CONTRACT TO DAVEY TREE SURGERY COMPANY FOR
PRUNING OF CITY STREET TREES IN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the pruning of City street
trees in various locations in the City of Alameda, in accordance
with Specifications No. P.W. 6- 83 --10, approved June 7, 1983;
and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Davey Tree Surgery Company agreeing to perform
said work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum
of $87,153.11.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that said firm is a responsible bidder and
that its proposal is the lowest and best bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of Davey Tree Surge
Company is hereby accepted, the contract for the pruning of
City street trees is hereby awarded to said bidder, and the
Mayor is authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest,
said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of
Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 19th of July, 1983, by the
following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament -
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
