CALLING FOR BID PROPOSALS FOR THE NORTHSIDE STORM
DRAIN PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR ALTERNATE H,
PHASES II AND III AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE SAME
WHEREAS, a report entitled "Drainage Study for Northside,
Webster Street & Main Street Drainage Basins" was accepted
by this Council on June 7, 1983; and
WHEREAS, there is adequate funding in the Sewer Service
Fee Fund for preparation of plans and specifications to be
prepared for Alternate H, Phases II and III, recommended in
said study; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the preparation
of the plans and specifications should be undertaken by a
consulting engineer due to the size of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council will receive sealed bids
up to the hour of 2:00 o'clock p.m. on THURSDAY, AUGUST 25,
1983, for Northside Storm Drain plans and specifications for
Alternate H, Phases II and III, in accordance with the Northside
Storm Drain Study, a copy of which document may be obtained
by any prospective bidder on application to the Public Works
Director, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
Bids must be presented to the City Clerk in the City Hall,
Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked
on the outside, "Proposal for Northside Storm Drain Plans and
Specifications," or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the
provisions of the Charter of the City of Alameda, to the respon-
sible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right
is reserved to reject any or all bids.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the
Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling for sealed bids, in
accordance with the provisions of this resolution.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of
Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 19th of July, 1983, by the
following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
