Resolution 10110CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10110 URGING EAST BAY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO RECONSIDER AND WITHDRAW ITS APPLICATION FOR A SECONDARY TREATMENT FACILITY WAIVER WHEREAS, San Francisco Bay is one of the key economic, recreational and aesthetic resources of our area; and WHEREAS, pollution seriously jeopardizes all types of uses of the Bay; and WHEREAS, in December, 1982, the East Bay Municipal Utility District ( EBMUD) applied to the Regional Quality Control Board for a waiver of federal clean water standards requiring secondary treatment of wastewater which would allow the District to return to primary treatment only; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAI'IEDA that said Council fully supports EBMUD secondary waste water treatment; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council urges the EBMUD Board of Directors to reconsider and withdraw its applica- tion for a secondary treatment facility waiver and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to send a certified copy of this Resolution to the EBMUD Board of Directors. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 19th of July, 1983, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
