AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF LEASE BETWEEN CITY OF
ALAMEDA AND LYDIA WILSON-YOUNG FOR SUBLEASE OF ROOM
#18 AT THE MASTICK SENIOR CENTER COMPLEX AS STUDIO
SPACE FOR PAINTING, DRAWING AND PHOTOGRAPHY
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda leases from the Alameda
Unified School District certain real property located within
the City and known as the Mastick Senior Center Complex; and
WHEREAS, Lydia Wilson-Young desires to sublease from the
City Room #18 of said Complex as Studio Space to pursue her hobby
of painting, drawing and photography, which use is consistent
with City policies; and
WHEREAS, the Alameda Unified School District has consented
to said sublease; and
WHEREAS, a form of agreement containing the covenants,
terms and conditions to be entered into is on file in the office
of the City Clerk and the Council is informed of the contents
thereof; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that said Agreement
be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the agreement referred to above, and the terms,
conditions and covenants contained therein be, and the same are
hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manaaer be, and he
is hereby authorized to execute, for and on behalf of the City
of Alameda, that certan proposed Agreement with Lydia Wilson-Young
for the sublease of Room #18 at the Mastick Senior Center Complex,
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest
to same.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City
of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 2nd of August, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
