AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
OFFICE OF TRAFFIC- SAFETY FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR A
COMPREHENSIVE TRAFFIC ENGINEERING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Leaislature of the State of California,
through the Business and Transportation Agency Office of
Traffic Safety, provides funds to certain entities for Traffic
Safety Projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has projects which qualify
for said funding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby:
1. Approves the filing of an application to the Office
of Traffic Safety for Grant Funds for a Comprehensive Traffic
Engineering Program;
2. Authorizes the City Manager to submit an application
to the Office of Traffic Safety for funds for said Program;
3. Agrees that necessary local funds and/or manpower
will be provided for the Project.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of
Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th of September, 1983, by
the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
