Resolution 10146CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. _10146 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH GEORGE HILLS COMPANY, INC. FOR INTERIM CLAIMS ADMINISTRATION SERVICES WHEREAS, the City's Claims Administrator, R. L. Kautz & Co. has notified the City that it intends to discontinue its services effective October 17, 1983; and WHEREAS, George Hills Company, Inc. has presented a proposal to provide similar claims administration services to the City on an interim basis; and WHEREAS, a proposed agreement with George Hills Company, Inc., setting forth the duties and responsibilities of its services in connection with supervision and administration of the City's Liability Self-insurance Program, has been submitted to this Council, and the Council is fully informed and aware of the terms and conditions thereof; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Alameda that said agreement be entered into; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute, for and on behalf of the City of Alameda, that certain agreement referred to above by and between George Hills Company, Inc. and the City of Alameda, for general liability claims administration service for a fifteen (15) month interim basis beginning September 1, 1983, through November 30, 1984. The City Clerk is hereby directed to attest to same. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th of September, 1983, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas., Monsef and President Diament - 5. NOES: None. ABSENT: None. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the official seal of said City this 7th day of September, 1983.
