AWARDING CONTRACT TO PACIFIC/FIELDS (JV) FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE ALAMEDA CORPORATION YARD AND
ANIMAL SHELTER AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the Construction of
the Alameda Corporation Yard and Animal Shelter in accordance
with Plans prepared therefor; and
WHEREAS, a sealed bids was submitted by Pacific/Fields
(JV) agreeing to perform said work in accordance with said
Plans for the base bid amount of $1,465,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that said firm is a responsible bidder and
that its proposal is the lowest and best bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the base bid of Pacific/Fields
(JV), plus all add alternates except alternate No. 11, is
hereby accepted, the contract for the Construction of the
Alameda Corporation Yard and Animal Shelter is hereby awarded
to said bidder for the total amount of $1,594,388, which sum
includes all accepted add alternates, and that the Mayor is
hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest,
said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of
Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th of September, 1983, by
the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
