AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF A CARGO VAN FOR
THE GOLF DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, funds are available in the 1983 -84 Fiscal Year
Golf Department budget for the purchase of a cargo van for
hauling of equipment, pick -up and delivery of supplies, etc.; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that such a vehicle can
be obtained at a considerable savings by negotiated purchase on
the open market;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that pursuant to Section 3 -15 of the City Charter the
Director of Recreation and Parks is hereby authorized to negotiate
and purchase on the open market one cargo van for use by the Golf
Department.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of
Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th of September, 1983, by
the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Gorman - 1.
