AUTHORIZING REPROGRAMMING OF PRIOR YEAR'S UNEXPENDED
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS TO NINTH
YEAR ACTIVITIES
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is the recipient of Community
Development Block Grant Funds as authorized pursuant to Title I
of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1978, as amended;
WHEREAS, the City currently has available $1,514,840 in prior
years' unexpended funds;
WHEREAS, said funds are now required for the implementation
of Eighth and Ninth Year activities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby authorizes the reprogramming
of Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Year funds as follows:
1. $1,231,000 to Ninth Year housing related activities,
including $150,000 to the Rental Rehabilitation
Demonstration Program;
2. $27,000 to the Parrot Village Minipark and Community
Garden Project:
3. $25,000 to the Webster Street Improvements Project;
4. $50,000 to the Brush Street Reconstruction Project;
5. $17,000 to the Alameda Main Street Project;
6. $19,000 to the Certified Development Corporation.
7. $100,000 to the Commercial Loan Pool Project;
8. $20,000 to the Downtown Cleanup Project; and
9. $25,840 to Ninth Year Local Option activities.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of
Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 4th of October, 1983, by
the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Hanna, Gorman and President Diament - 3.
NOES: Councilmembers Lucas and Monsef - 2.
ABSENT: None.
