AUTHORIZING OPEN MARKET PURCHASE OF TRASH RECEPTACLES
FOR WEBSTER STREET AND FOR LINCOLN AVENUE BETWEEN
SHERMAN STREET AND BAY STREET
WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant funds have been
appropriated for certain Public improvements on Webster Street
and Lincoln Avenue; and.
WHEREAS, said public improvements include the installation
of trash receptacles identical to those already in use on City
streets; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that said receptacles can
be obtained only from a particular vendor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that pursuant to Section 3-15 of the City Charter the
Director of Community Development is hereby authorized to
negotiate and purchase on the open market thirty-five (35) trash
receptacles for installation on Webster Street and on Lincoln
Avenue between Sherman Street and Bay Street.
This is to certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of
Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 4th of October, 1983,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas,.Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
