AWARDING CONTRACT TO 0. C. JONES & SONS FOR THE
REPAIR AND RESURFACING OF CERTAIN STREETS, PHASE 3,
AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the Repair and Resurfacing
of Certain Streets, Phase 3, in accordance with Specifications
No. 8-83-16, approved September 6, 1983; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by O. C. Jones & Sons agreeing to perform said work
in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$233,276.20.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said firm is a responsible bidder and that its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bid of O. C. Jones & Sons
is hereby accepted, the contract for the Repair and Resurfacing
of Certain Streets, Phase 3, is hereby awarded to said bidder,
and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk
to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in a regular adjourned meeting assembled on the
20th day of October, 1983, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council embers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President
Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
