AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF AN APPLICATION FOR
URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACTION GRANT FUNDS ON BEHALF OF
ALAMEDA GATEWAY, LTD.
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda is eligible to apply for and
receive Urban Development Action Grant funds from the Department
of Housing and Urban Development; and
WHEREAS, Alameda Gateway, Ltd. plans an office, industrial,
commercial and marina mixed-use development as Alameda Gateway,
to be developed on the abandoned Todd Shipyard site zoned M--2-G
in the City of Alameda; and
WHEREAS, Alameda Gateway; Ltd. has requested that the
City of Alameda apply for Urban Development Action Grant funds
to assist in the overall financing of the proposed project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that staff is hereby directed to prepare an application
for Urban Development Action Grant funds on behalf of Alameda
Gateway, Ltd., and to employ any necessary consultant services
which are mutually agreed upon by the City and Alameda Gateway,
Ltd; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any fees for necessary consultant
services shall be reimbured by the developer, Alameda Gateway,
Ltd. to the City of Alameda.
