Resolution 10231CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 1023 ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF EIGHTH STREET, CENTRAL AVENUE TO PORTOLA AVENUE, AND FOR ROUNDING THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF EIGHTH STREET AND CENTRAL AVENUE, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PROGRAM AGREEMENT AND SUPPLEMENT NO. 4 TO THAT MASTER AGREEMENT FOR THE FEDERAL-AID PROGRAM BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE STATE WHEREAS, Specifications and Plans have been prepared for the Reconstruction of Eighth Street, Central Avenue to Portola Avenue, and for Rounding the Southwest Corner of Eighth Street and. Central Avenue, numbered P.W. 10-82-18 and filed in the office of the City Clerk on January 3, 1984. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Specifications be, and the same are, hereby approved and adopted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, upon receiving final authorization from the various agencies involved with this project, the City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling for sealed bids for furnishing to the City of all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said Specifications and Plans and this resolution. The Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids. Said Specifications may be had by any prospective bidder on application to the Director of Public Works, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, on behalf of the City, a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) program for this project; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, on behalf of the City, Supplement No. 4 to that Master Agreement for the Federal-Aid Program which was entered into between the City of Alameda and the State of California on June 22, 1977, relating to said project. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the 3rd day of January, 1984, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
