AWARDING CONTRACT TO DAWSON & JR'S CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY FOR LINCOLN AVENUE IMPROVEMENTS AND
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for Lincoln Avenue Improvements
in accordance with Specifications No, P.W. 11-83-20, approved
December 6, 1983; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was sub-
mitted by Dawson & JR's Construction Company agreeing to perform
said work in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of
$109,553.00; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its proposal
is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the bid of Dawson & JR's Construction Company is
hereby accepted in the amount of $109,553.00 plus 15% contingency
cost, for a budget amount of $125,985.95, the contract for Lincoln
Avenue Improvements is hereby awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor
is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest,
said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 7th of February, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and
President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
