CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10246
AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF POLICE PATROL VEHICLES
PURSUANT TO SECTION 3-15 OF THE CITY CHARTER
WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is necessary to
replace seven patrol vehicles in the Police Department and
funds are available in the Police Equipment Replacement Fund for
their purchase; and
WHEREAS, it is possible to purchase these vehicles which
meet California Highway Patrol specifications from Swift Dodge
of Sacramento and it has been determined that this is the only
dealership in Northern California offering the C.H.P. specifica-
tion Dodge Diplomat, and all other possible alternatives have
been examined;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALAMEDA that pursuant to Section 3-15 of the City Charter
, the Police Department, in cooperation with the City Purchasing
Agent, is hereby authorized to negotiate for and purchase the
required seven patrol vehicles from Swift Dodge of Sacramento.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 21st of February, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas and President Diament - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Monsef - 1.
