AWARDING CONTRACT TO OAKLAND FENCE COMPANY FOR CONSTRUC-
TION OF POLICE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING SECURITY FENCE
AND GATES
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the Construction of the
Police Administration Building Security Fence and Gates in accord-
ance with Specifications No. P.W. 12-83-23, approved January 3,
1984; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Oakland Fence Company agreeing to perform said work
in accordance with said Specifications for the sum of $15,862.00;
and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its proposal
is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that the bid of Oakland Fence Company is hereby accepted
in the amount of $15,862.00 plus 15% contingency cost, for a budget
amount of $18,241.30, the contract for Construction of the Police
Administration Building Security Fence is hereby awarded to said
bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the
City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 21st of February, 1984, by the following
vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna and President Diament - 3.
NOES: Councilmember Lucas - 1.
ABSENT: Councilmember Monsef - 1.
