ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR HARBOR BAY
PARKWAY WIDENING, DOOLITTLE DRIVE TO MAITLAND DRIVE,
CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE
SAME
WHEREAS, Specifications and Plans have been prepared for
Harbor Bay Parkway widening, Doolittle Drive to Maitland Drive,
numbered P.W. 3-84-3, for Assessment Districts 81-1 and 84-1, and
filed in the office of the City Clerk on March 20, 1984;
NOW, THEREFORE, FE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said Specifications be, and the same are, hereby
approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of
Alameda will receive sealed bids up to the hour of 2:00 o'clock
p.m. on TUESDAY, APRIL 24, 1984, for furnishing to the City of
all labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary
for the work hereinabove referred to, in accordance with said
Specifications and Plans. Bids must be presented to the City
Clerk in the City Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover
and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Harbor Bay Park-
way Widening, Doolittle Drive to Maitland Drive," or similar
designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the pro-
visions of the Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible
bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved
to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the Director of Public Works, at his office
in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the
Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling for sealed bids, in
accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said
specifications and plans.
I,-the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda i:n regular meeting assembled on the" 20th of March, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers•Gorman, Hanna,- Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
