Resolution 10266CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. _10?66 CONSENTING TO THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE RELINQUISHMENT OF PEACH STREET, BETWEEN OTIS DRIVE AND CALHOUN STREET, FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA WHEREAS, a portion of the Peach Street-Otis Drive inter- section, which is a part of State highway Route 61, is no longer needed for highway purposes; and WHEREAS, the State Department of Transportation has requested that the City review the proposed relinquishment of Peach Street, between Otis Drive and Calhoun Street, consent to the acceptance of the relinquishment and waive the required 90-day Notice of Intent to Relinauish, pursuant to California Streets and Highways Code Section 73; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City that said relinquishment be accepted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City of Alameda does hereby consent to the acceptance of the relinquishment of Peach Street, between Otis Drive and Calhoun Street, from the State of California; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Alameda hereby waives the required 90-day Notice of Intent to Relinquish, as stated in Section 73 of the California Streets and Highways Code. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution wa-s duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th of March, 1984, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
