Resolution 10269ORIL3INAL CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 10269 AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR A GRANT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PURPOSES TO THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A GRANT AWARD WHEREAS, the Alameda Police Department desires to undertake a certain project designated Community Crime Resistance Program to be funded in part from funds made available through State General Funds as authorized by Chapter 1291 of the 1982 Statutes for the California Community Crime Resistance Program, administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereafter referred to as OCJP). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the City Manager of the City of Alameda is authorized, on its behalf to submit the attached Application for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to OCJP and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of Alameda the attached Grant Award for law enforcement purposes including any extensions or amendments thereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Alameda agrees to provide all matching funds required for said project (including any extension or amendment thereof) under the Community Crime Resistance Program and the rules and regulations of OCJP and that cash will be appropriated as required thereby. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant law enforcement expenditures con- trolled by this body. I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of the resolution adopted by the City Council of the City of Alameda in a meeting thereof held on March 20, 1984 by the following Vote: Ayes: Councilmembers Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and President Diament - 5.
