RATIFYING EXTRA WORK ORDER NO 1 FOR RECONSTRUCTION
OF BRUSH STREET EAST OF THIRD STREET
WHEREAS, on February 7,1984, this Council awarded a
contract to O. C. Jones and Sons for the reconstruction of
Brush Street east of Third Street, No. P.W. 11-83-19, in the
amount of $34,259.50; and
WHEREAS, the contractor encountered an unstable subbase
condition which resulted in damage to shallow underlying utilities
and necessitated a modification of construction methods and
overexcavation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Alameda that Extra Work Order No 1, issued for P.W.
11-83--19, which includes modification of construction methods
and overexcation, including installation of sanitary sewer
laterals, installation of 8" sanitary sewer for a distance of
270 feet and installation of Geotextile Fabric, is hereby
approved and ratified.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd of April, 1984,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Gorman, Lucas, Monsef and Vice President Hanna - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Mayor Diament - 1.
